Heartstart Vale of White Horse

In an emergency could YOUR actions mean the difference between life and death?

Heartstart Vale of White Horse affiliated to Heartstart UK is an initiative,

funded and co-ordinated by the British Heart Foundation(BHF) to teach people what to do in a life threatening emergency: simple skills that can save lives.

Emergency Life Support (ELS) is a set of actions needed to keep someone alive until professional help arrives. This includes:

  • Putting an unconscious but breathing casualty into the recovery position

  • Performing Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on adults, children and babies

  • Dealing with choking

  • Dealing with serious bleeding

  • Dealing with a suspected heart attack

So why don't you come along to the East Challow Village Hall on the First Tuesday of each month from 7-9pm to learn the above skills. Courses are free of charge and last approximately two hours.
